HEY JUDE - BEATLES TRIBUTE SHOW

The show pays it’s tribute in style with a special show, which bets on a wide repertoire and on the fidelity of arrangements, timbres, voices, costumes, mannerisms and even on the dialogues in English on stage to provide the audience with the closest sensation to face the Liverpool quartet.

HEY JUDE also has a conductor, Anselmo Ubiratan (George Martin’s interpreter in the show) who is responsible for the meticulous transcription of all the original orchestrations, providing, in the full shows, the same sound experiences found in the original Beatles songs.

The members of HEY JUDE have already played and recorded at the mythological Abbey Road studio, where the Beatles recorded almost their entire repertoire; they performed six times at the legendary Cavern Club (they were congratulated by the Beatles’ first manager, Alan Williams, and Dave Jones, owner of the Cavern Club); played at the official closing of the Annual Beatles Convention (Beatle Week) in Liverpool, England, in front of more than 100,000 people. In addition, they met Astrid Kirchherr, a photographer from the band’s early period during their stay in Hamburg, responsible for creating the famous Beatles haircut.

The members of HEY JUDE have already performed on the main stages throughout Brazil. From theatres to large concert halls, in addition to various corporate events, the shows have always been a hit with the public and critics. Among the places where they have performed, the following stand out: Espaço das Américas – São Paulo, SP,  Chevrolet Hall – Belo Horizonte, MG,  Audio Club (with DVD/CD recording) – São Paulo, SP,  HSBC Brazil – São Paulo, SP,  Bradesco Theater – São Paulo, SP,  Riachuelo Theater – Natal, RN,  Bourbon Country Theater – Porto Alegre, RS,  Bradesco Theater – Rio de Janeiro, RJ,  Feevale Theater – Novo Hamburgo, RS,  RIOMAR Theater – Recife, PE, Guararapes Theater – Recife, PE,  Vivo Rio – Rio de Janeiro, RJ.

Among the many shows performed by the members of HEY JUDE, we can also highlight: the participation in Rock In Rio 2013 – Rio de Janeiro, RJ,  Ulysses Guimarães Convention Center – Brasília, DF,  Royal Court in Liverpool – Liverpool  UK, and the   LIMF (Liverpool International Music Festival) – Liverpool, UK

The instruments in the show are of the same makes and models used by the Beatles. Highlight for the Ludwig brand drums from the 60’s, identical to the one used by Ringo Starr; the Gretsch and Rickenbacker guitars and the Hofner bass, identical to those used by George Harrison and Paul McCartney, respectively. The show features a total of seventeen instruments, including Epiphone, Fender and Gibson. The amplifiers are the famous VOX AC30.

The meticulous costumes portray three different phases of the Beatles during the show: the well-behaved suits from the Ed Sullivan Show era; the psychedelic and colourful robes of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club and The Magical Mystery Tour and the stripped-down look of the Abbey Road record. From cufflinks to sideburns, no detail is overlooked.
